An estimated 6,200 people currently live in Boston without housing. As a result, this year, for the first time, the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) declared homelessness in the city a health issue.
We’ve partnered with the nonprofit ShowerUp to deliver free, hot showers and other essential services (hygiene kits, food, and clothing) to unhoused local citizens. Every time you book one of our services, a portion of sales goes directly towards helping someone in need.
Like us, ShowerUp believes that hygiene and hope are fundamentally tied. Over the past six years, its network of partners and volunteers have worked tirelessly to restore dignity and hope to homeless communities across the country by improving hygiene and lifestyle and by making the day-to-day that bit easier. With its mobile shower units, ShowerUp has to date provided over 13,000 hot showers to unhoused citizens in Chicago, Nashville, Huntsville, Wichita, and now, thanks to you, Boston.
